Career Education Corporation (CEC) is a private sector, global education company that focuses on quality, career-focused learning. As one of the leading providers of educational services, CEC’s rapid growth prompted the need for a new corporate headquarters, which was designed by another firm. Kahler Slater was hired at the onset of the project to provide environmental branding.

One of the more significant objectives for this project was to positively and strategically impact the culture of the organization by helping employees connect with the students, faculty and campus staff that they serve but often do not see. CEC also wanted to enhance relationships across disciplines to instill a sense of pride and increase the spirit of collaboration.

Kahler Slater’s work throughout the headquarters has achieved the client’s main goal - from the time you enter the building, it is clear to employees and visitors what CEC does and who they serve. Employees are interacting with the strategically designed engagement pieces, they are showing pride in what they do and the culture has been transformed to one that exudes professionalism, pride, camaraderie and a deeper connection to the students they serve.
