Columbus Regional Women and Children’s Center at The Medical Center

Benefits of the Center include providing convenient, coordinated and integrated services through all stages of a woman’s life and more comprehensive care for children. The ultimate goal: delivering care in a comfortable and accessible healing environment in order to improve the patient experience and provider satisfaction.

This partnership took the design team in such a positive direction that the client sought our assistance to renovate their existing inpatient wings. With a limited budget and fast-track schedule, our interior designers worked closely with multiple stakeholders to create a “WOW” factor for their patients in existing clinical care spaces throughout the hospital. The project kicked off with a Visioning Session and an Image and Materials Survey exercise with various stakeholders and community members. These exercises assisted the design team in defining project drivers and an overall vision which reflect both the client’s mission as well as the community’s expectations for the new Center.
