Taqueria El Jefe, the fast-casual concept, anchors the most visible corner from Burleigh Street and caters to the on-the-go shopper offering a quicker meal that can be either dine in or take out. The design is more contemporary, a simple metal box with large glass panels to give presence to the corner of the building without adding complexity. Like the other two concepts, the cooking is on stage with an open kitchen line where the intent is to mimic the inside of a food truck with quilted metal texture. Bright colored hand painted Mexican skulls line the walls and the orange and teal brand colors are splashed throughout the space. Built in wooden slat booths, line the large windows that make up the exterior given each booth its own window with a view to the outdoor dining and adjacent pocket park.
