Kahler Slater Continues To Expand Award-Winning Healthcare Team With The Addition Of Travis Ensey

Kahler Slater, an award-winning architecture, interior design, environmental branding, and strategic advisory services firm, is pleased to announce that Travis Ensey, AIA, LEED AP BD+C has joined the firm’s Healthcare Team as an Associate Principal.

Ensey is an experienced project manager and project director who has successfully guided clients through large scale healthcare projects and campus master plans. His architectural career spans over 12 years and includes work with internationally recognized healthcare organizations, such as University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Texas Children’s Hospital, and Houston Methodist Hospital, who were recently recognized as top hospitals (#1 – Cancer; #3 – pediatrics; and #20 – tie, national top 20, respectively) by U.S. News and World Report. Just 21 hospitals out of nearly 5,000 evaluated for the 2019-20 U.S. News Best Hospitals rankings and ratings made the national Honor Roll. Ensey also was integral to the development, implementation, and completion of campus and facility master plans, which included the completion of replacement hospitals, complex renovations, central utility plants, medical office buildings, parking structures, and full site and utility revitalization for Houston Methodist Hospital and Stamford Hospital.

Ensey has national experience leading project delivery teams from early conceptual design all the way through construction administration focusing on technical coordination and high-quality documentation. Ensey and his family recently relocated from Houston, Texas to Wisconsin, where he will serve national clients from Kahler Slater’s Milwaukee Headquarters.
