Kahler Slater is pleased to announce the hiring of Ryan Freeland, AIA, NCARB as a key member of the firm’s Higher Education Team. He will help guide the continued growth of Kahler Slater’s nationally recognized collegiate and community sports and recreation practice, focusing on design, firm technology, and business development.
Freeland brings more than 8 years of experience, including with Cuningham Group’s Minneapolis headquarters, and more recently working with Populous, an architecture and design firm in Kansas City. During his tenure with both firms, Freeland worked on several high-profile projects, including Epic's Deep Space auditorium and Campus Four, Minnesota United FC's Allianz Field, and Minnesota Twins’ Ballpark, Target Field enhancements.

Freeland received a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture with a minor in Construction Management from the University of Minnesota, and a Master of Architecture degree from Clemson University. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
