Reimagining a Legacy Campus for the Future of Work

Sentry Insurance
Headquarters

Stevens Point, Wisconsin

Sentry Insurance is undertaking a comprehensive renovation of its headquarters in Stevens Point, a transformative reinvestment in its 1.5 million-square-foot campus and a reimagining of a workplace that has served the company since 1977. As project architect, Kahler Slater is leading the design of a future-ready environment that enhances employee experience while honoring the building’s legacy.

The multi-year renovation encompasses approximately 800,000 square feet and replaces the original brutalist façade with expanded glazing and refined detailing to bring in natural light and create a more welcoming campus identity. Inside, the design prioritizes flexibility and connection, with modern workspaces, collaborative environments, and integrated technology that support a hybrid workforce.

Employee well-being is central to the design, with upgraded amenities including a reimagined wellness center, refreshed dining and café spaces, and enhanced outdoor courtyards. Sustainability strategies are embedded throughout, including material reuse, energy-efficient systems, and high-performance building upgrades.

This renovation reflects Sentry’s commitment to its people and community, creating a headquarters that supports growth, attracts talent, and positions the organization for the future while maintaining the cultural foundation that defines it.
