Jim leads firm vision and strategy development in his shared CEO role. Jim is an innovator pioneering design-thinking methods in architecture. He works directly with both our national and global clients with specialized expertise in complex health care system strategic planning and design.
George directs firm operations, executive management and strategic plan execution in his shared CEO role. George is very involved with civic revitalization and growing the role of the performing arts and creative placemaking in downtown Milwaukee. He also enjoys working directly with several clients.
Kelly works closely with the firm’s CEOs to provide strategic direction for and management of the firm. She also directs marketing, branding, and new business development activities for the firm. Kelly sponsors the firm’s Culture Council and Community Committee which promote Kahler Slater values.
John’s specialty is people. A licensed architect turned HR Guy, he recruits and hires new staff, nurtures existing staff and firm culture, and manages employee benefits and communications. John has been instrumental in the firm’s certification as a national Best Place to Work.
When it comes to designing higher education experiences, Larry is a true expert. Sought out by colleges and universities around the country for his expertise, he provides strong design leadership for our medical, nursing, dental and allied health sciences clients. He not only understands, but is setting the trends, methodologies and technologies in interdisciplinary education.
Mary Le has over 20 years of successfully designing research, health science and science environments. She is known for her creative problem-solving and the development of innovative and sustainable design solutions.
Jeff has focused his career on creating exceptional recreation, athletic and fitness experiences for a wide range of clients around the Midwest. He is one of three team leaders for our Higher Education team as well as the leader for our Community Recreation + Wellness team.
As a Vice President, Al brings leadership to Kahler Slater’s Health Care Team and his clients’ projects. Al has built successful relationships, transformative projects and trust with many health care executives. Al has served clients in Virginia for more than 16 years and led the launch of Kahler Slater’s Virginia office.
Jennifer has dedicated her career to improving experiences for patients, families, staff and physicians through health care design. Jennifer provides leadership to our research team and is a national thought leader in improving patient experiences.
Focused on transforming healthcare by leveraging the power of design methodologies to explore systems and processes from clinical, operational, experiential, technologic and physical perspectives, Dr. Hernandez has struck a unique professional balance as a practicing physician, innovator and design professional. Dr. Hernandez is one of the very few healthcare designers who remains clinically active, providing him with unparalleled insights and empathy regarding the challenges facing healthcare, patients and providers.
Glenn is an accomplished architect and communicator who serves Kahler Slater as Vice President and Leader of the Business Environment team. His passion and leadership have been integral to the sustained growth of the firm’s corporate portfolio and client list. Glenn is known in the industry for his deep understanding of the real estate process and ability to turn facility assets into business success through design.
Tom leads Kahler Slater’s multi-family housing and hospitality markets. An expert in both fields, Tom has extensive experience working on privately financed projects including those utilizing state and federal historic, low-income and new markets tax credits. Throughout his career, he has developed a level of expertise in partnering with developers to provide high-quality design within proposed development budgets.
As leader of Kahler Slater’s Environmental Branding team, Tony helps organizations leverage their workplaces, universities and hospitals to attract talent, elevate customer experiences and engage employees. Tony provides overarching message strategy, design direction and client account management.
