Anca Lipan, AIA Joins as Associate Principal and Project Leader

We are excited to share that Anca Lipan, AIA, LEED AP BD+C has joined our firm as Associate Principal and Project Leader for our Higher Education and Cultural markets. Based in our Richmond office, Anca will be integral in the continued strategic expansion of our Mid-Atlantic presence, building off Kahler Slater’s success in the market over the last decade.

Anca brings over 25 years of experience delivering projects in a variety of sectors, with significant focus in higher education, cultural, and civic markets. She was appointed by Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin to the Art and Architecture Review Board in 2023, and has been active with AIAVA’s Design Forum Committee, the ACE Mentor program, and other community outreach programs for over 15 years.

In her role, Anca will oversee the project delivery strategy by tailoring our national team of experts to develop and implement our clients’ visions. Active in developing a keen understanding of stakeholder goals and priorities, Anca delivers quality projects on budget and on schedule. Her expertise and specific knowledge of clients in the Mid-Atlantic will expand our team’s commitment and ability to create positive change.

Previously, Anca was a Studio Director for Baskervill and partnered with notable clients including Virginia Institute for Marine Science, Virginia Military Institute, the Virginia Department of General Services, Virginia Commonwealth University, the City of Richmond, University of Richmond, and Virginia State University.
