Holy Redeemer Health System’s New Bensalem Site Designed to Put Patients at Ease

January 8, 2013

Holy Redeemer Health System’s new Bensalem, Pa., health-care site has now opened with a specific focus on creating intimate and personalized health care experiences for patients. Kahler Slater worked with the facility to design this ideal outpatient experience, which is heavy on nature themes.

Holy Redeemer HealthCare at Bensalem is home to five OB/GYNs, three breast surgeons, one family physician and one vascular surgeon along with a support staff of 17. The medical office wants to offer customers an experience that is unique to them. Guides are present at the entrances to escort patients throughout the center, whether they are going to comfortable “living rooms" to wait or to small private rooms where medical information is recorded and co-payments are collected. Various amenities are available, including Kindles downloaded with magazines and newspapers, public-use computers and a waiting area for kids with iPads ready with games. Other features created to enhance the space include a six-foot-long fireplace, coffee bar and virtual aquarium.
