Kahler Slater Announces 2021-22 Community Partnerships

Kahler Slater is excited to announce that we have chosen our 2021-22 community partner organizations. One of our corporate core values is to give back to the communities where we live, work and play. Our two-year partnership program began in 2013 in an effort to form relationships and have a deeper impact on the community. In 2021-22, we have committed to partnering with COA Youth & Family Centers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin Youth Company in Madison, Boys and Girls Club of Metro Richmond, and My Block My Hood My City in Chicago.

“We are honored to be partnering with these four deserving organizations to help underserved youth in our communities,” said Kelly Gaglione Kahler Slater Executive Vice President. “Over the next two years, we hope to make significant contributions through ongoing volunteering activities and make a positive impact on the lives of families in our community. We know we grow stronger as a firm, and as individuals, when we are engaged in programs that give back to our own local communities.”

COA Youth & Family Centers’ mission is to help Milwaukee children, teens and families reach their greatest potential through a variety of educational, recreational and social work programs offered through its urban community centers, Milwaukee Public Schools and a rural camp facility. As a multicultural agency, COA values diversity and promotes positive social interaction. The organization focuses on three core areas including Early Child Development, Youth Development and Community Development. COA serves 10,000 children and families every year.

Wisconsin Youth Company’s mission is to engage youth in opportunities that encourage them to be their best selves. The non-profit organization provides high-quality programming to kids beyond the school day throughout Dane and Waukesha Counties. Programs include before and after school, 4K wrap, summer camps, Middle School U, Wander Wisconsin, and non-school days and break programs. Wisconsin Youth works to positively impact children by providing a safe place to nurture social and emotional skills and create positive character development.

Boys & Girls Club of Metro Richmond’s mission is to support and empower young people, especially those from historically marginalized communities, to succeed in life. Since 1953, the organization has committed to helping youth in the Greater Richmond area thrive both in and out of school. Through innovative programs and a diverse and dedicated staff, they provide a safe, educational and supporting space for students in the community.

My Block My Hood My City’s mission is to provide underprivileged youth with an awareness of the world and opportunities beyond their neighborhood. The organization offers explorations of new communities, cultures and cuisines in an effort to gain a greater understanding of the world. Students have an opportunity to learn about STEM, Arts & Culture, Citizenry & Volunteerism, Health, Community Development, Culinary Arts, and Entrepreneurism.
