Kahler Slater has been selected to assist the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s College of Nursing in transforming nursing education with the design of its new Nursing Science Center. Kahler Slater will conduct programming validation and provide design for the new building. The new facility will create a strong identity for the nationally ranked School of Nursing and will incorporate flexible space to accommodate the latest teaching pedagogies. The new school will also have a Center for Technology Enhanced Nursing that will include state-of-the-art simulation environments and infrastructure. This technology will allow the school to continue to be on the forefront of nursing education programs. Construction on the $52 million, 161,000 square foot building is slated to begin in 2011, with completion scheduled for summer 2013.
