Kahler Slater Projects Recognized with AIA Wisconsin Design Awards

August 24, 2021

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Wisconsin Chapter has recognized two Kahler Slater projects with their prestigious annual Design Awards competition. These awards recognize our firm’s commitment to beauty, craft, and rigor.

The awards represent the highest recognition given for excellence in architectural design by the state's professional society of architects. Honor Awards recognize overall design excellence and Merit Awards recognize excellence in a particular aspect of project design, such as detailing, sustainability or adaptive use. A jury of nationally distinguished architects from outside Wisconsin selected the award-winning projects.

Our winning projects include:

Honor Award

Bradley Symphony Center - Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra

The Bradley Symphony Center revitalized a former Rapp and Rapp theater to create a sophisticated performance venue for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. The new experience artfully celebrates music at every turn and acts as a catalyst for excitement in the arts and a revitalization in downtown Milwaukee.

Merit Award

C.D. Smith Construction Headquarters

C.D. Smith Construction Services’ new headquarters enables them to accommodate growth, elevate their brand, and attract and retain top talent. The design intentionally showcases the company’s craftsmanship, aesthetics, brand, and commitment to sustainability.

Congratulations to our clients, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and CD Smith Construction. Thank you for your trust and collaboration.
