Kahler Slater Studio

The Kahler Slater Studio is a collaborative graduate studio bringing together the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Operating in a new paradigm of architectural education, students study in an immersive environment within Kahler Slater’s Chicago and Milwaukee offices, showcasing the richness of collaboration between academia and practice.

At Kahler Slater, we work in a collaborative hybrid model across our offices in Milwaukee, Madison, Richmond, and Chicago. We build our teams with the strongest design, technical, and management resources, led by subject matter experts. This studio will be based on our unique professional practice model.

The Kahler Slater Studio is offered to graduate students at UWM and UIUC in the fall semester for 3 years: Fall 2022, Fall 2023, and Fall 2024.
