Kahler Slater CEO George Meyer shared ideas on how to revive Wisconsin Avenue and the Grand Avenue Mall at a recent West Association meeting. George's thoughts on the topic were highlighted in both the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and the Milwaukee Business Journal.
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay's Kress Events Center was highlighted in the recent article "20 Most Impressive College Gyms and Student Rec Centers" by Best Value Schools. The article cited the Kress Events Center as the "most generous in terms of square footage per student, at 26 square feet per student." The $28.5 million project incorporates a suspended running track, a climbing wall, and a pool.
Kahler Slater and Habitat for Humanity were interviewed by the BizTimes Giving Guide about our partnership. They had heard about our unique partnership and creative approach to helping out and asked us to share our story. Last Thursday, Glenn Roby, Principal and Business Environments Team Leader, was featured on a panel discussion called "Designing Milwaukee" at the 2013 BizTimes Milwaukee Commercial Real Estate and Development Conference. He was selected to be on the panel with what the moderator described as “four of the region’s top architects today.” Glenn discussed workplace and real estate trends and his thoughts about the future of design in Milwaukee.
