SSM Health Verona Outpatient Center is a 37,000 SF ambulatory care facility offering a comprehensive range of services including primary care, eye care, orthopedics, women’s health, dermatology, nutrition, diabetes education, lab, imaging, and an Optical Retail space. Located on a 100-acre site south of HWY 18, the project required annexation into the City of Verona, extensive offsite utility and road improvements, and sensitive site development to preserve nearly 60 acres of agricultural land. The clinic is designed around an integrated care team model with double-sided exam rooms and a self-rooming concept, supporting a patient-centered flow that emphasizes efficiency, convenience, and quality care.
The design prioritizes sustainability and wellness, targeting WELL Building certification through energy-efficient systems, enhanced building performance, and biophilic design strategies. The building systems are optimized for acoustics, air, lighting, water, and thermal comfort and are projected to achieve a 17% energy cost savings with an Energy Star score between 88 and 93.
Building on the success of SSM Monroe, this thoughtfully designed facility will serve the growing Verona community with high-quality, patient-centered care.
