Medical College of Wisconsin Breaks Ground on New Cancer Research Building

September 13, 2022

The Medical College of Wisconsin held a groundbreaking ceremony commemorating their new 150,000 square-foot Cancer Research Building, which will play a significant role in mitigating the cancer burden throughout eastern Wisconsin and beyond. Anticipated to be completed by late 2024, the building will be the only cancer-dedicated research facility in Milwaukee and eastern Wisconsin.

“We’re making a long-term commitment to developing advanced research programs, additional faculty and broader infrastructure that will convene brilliant physician scientists and researchers across disciplines to lead promising cancer studies right here in the Milwaukee area,” said Joseph Kerschner, MD, provost and executive vice president of MCW and the Julia A. Uihlein, MA, Dean of the MCW School of Medicine.

Kahler Slater will serve as Enclosure Specialist for this project, in partnership with CannonDesign. For more information, please visit the Medical College of Wisconsin website.
