We focus on serving health care, higher education, corporate, hotel, living environments, sports and fitness markets.

Our unique workplace culture is evident not only to our employees, but also to our clients. We have intentionally established an open, team-based culture that encourages both individual initiative and team collaboration.
We also know we work best when we are having fun! Our Culture Council makes sure that our firm-wide events are very “Kahler Slater” (meaning: creative, special, interactive and fun!). Whether it is a firm retreat, a city-wide scavenger hunt, an @4 happy hour, or a summer picnic with Lego boot camp for the kids – we seek to build relationships with each other and great memories along the way.
Our offices are intentionally located in areas that enable our employees to take advantage of each city’s unique offerings before, during and after the work day. Each office has immediate proximity to transit lines and are convenient to bike to work. In Milwaukee, we further extend the Kahler Slater experience aboard the S.S. Enterprise, our pontoon boat (aka floating conference room), which is docked right outside our door.
Kahler Slater isn’t just about doing great work for clients – we believe in giving back to the communities where we live, work and play. In fact, involvement in our communities is one of our core values. We engage in many ways by sharing our time, talent and resources. This includes things like pro-bono work, charitable donations and even setting aside a day each year to participate in a firm-wide volunteering day with a partnering organization.
We create formal commitments with a variety of organizations every year. This allows us to develop long-standing relationships and establish multiple unique and creative ways to donate, volunteer and support each of them individually. We know we grow stronger as a firm, and as individuals, when we are engaged in programs that give back not only to the design world, but our own hometowns.
