As Chief Executive Officer in collaboration with Glenn Roby, Al directs the firm’s vision, strategic plan, operations, and cultivates Kahler Slater’s nationally recognized culture. Al is an accomplished design leader in the healthcare industry who also serves Kahler Slater as one of the firm’s Healthcare Team Leaders. As a passionate advocate to improve how healthcare is delivered, Al inspires the firm to embrace evidence-based design solutions to meet market demands. Al has grown the firm’s capabilities and expanded geographic reach through successful relationships and transformative projects. Al’s commitment to growth led to the firm establishing a strong Mid-Atlantic presence with the opening of Kahler Slater’s Richmond, VA office in 2017, and most recently Kahler Slater’s Charlotte, NC office.
