A significant milestone has been achieved in the construction of Centra Health Lynchburg General Hospital's new care tower as the final structural beam was lifted into place during a topping-out ceremony celebrating the completion of the building's structural framework.
Before the beam's ascent, caregivers, construction partners, hospital leaders, and community stakeholders added their signatures, creating a lasting symbol of the people and partnerships driving this transformative project forward. Their signatures now become a permanent part of a facility designed to serve patients and families throughout the region for decades to come.
The topping-out ceremony represents a shared vision for the future of healthcare. The new care tower will provide modern, patient-centered environments that support expanded emergency, surgical, women's, and children's services while enhancing the experience for both patients and caregivers.
Kahler Slater is honored to see this thoughtfully designed facility take shape, expanding access to care and elevating the patient experience for years to come.
